Genetic Nondiscrimination Act: So Close. Sooooo Close

The Boston Globe and The Genetic Genealogist have updates on the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act pending here in the US. Though passed by the House and likely to be signed into law by President Bush, GINA has run into another wall, in the form of Republican Senator Tom Coburn. The bill would prevent discrimination based on genetic information from both insurance companies and employers, and while most agree it's a good bill, Coburn is hung up on using genetic information from embryos and fetuses.
