Blaine Bettinger points to a new tool developed in part by Attila Csordás. The mitoWheel, a Web-based graphical interface to visualize mitochondrial DNA, allows one to browse the sequence using left and right arrows, or search for specific nucleotides, genes, or sequence motifs. In his blog, Bettinger predicts that it will be a great comparative tool for genetic genealogists and he looks forward to future upgrades.
