Stanford Opens Its Doors to OA

Science Commons passes on the news that the Stanford University School of Education has voted to adopt an open access mandate. What's exciting, writes Donna Wentworth, is the paradigm shift she sees happening in the way people relate to and access scholarly work. "It's extremely encouraging to see faculty authors at Stanford not only embracing OA personally, but also working to implement it at the institutional level -- changing the 'default setting' for published research from closed to open."
