The Wall Street Journal reports that the World Health Organization teamed up with funding partners to unveil a $26 million program to distribute a PCR-based test to detect "multidrug-resistant tuberculosis after just two days rather than the weeks or months typical of existing tests," according to the article. The roll-out will begin with Ethiopia and Lesotho.
