Andy Oram has a post at O'Reilly Radar about positive results from the Peer-to-Patent project, which he calls "one of the most audacious experiments in Internet activism in our day." Peer-to-Patent uses a wiki-style approach to determine whether patent claims are indeed new, inviting technology experts to look at patent applications and then post any prior art relevant to them. "First, people are signing up: over 2,000 so far. Second, they're submitting prior art: 202 pieces," Oram writes. "Most important: they're enjoying the work and would volunteer again."
